I was over at my LSU forum and someone made a post about the lack of experience on the Tennessee O-line. Here is the quote:

"Their C is out and his replacement is coming off of summer injury for the first time. The RG is out, moved LT (Sears) to RG and promoted LT (blindside) with no game experience. This makes the Oline very lopsided with talent and experience. Against the LSU DL I expect most of the runs called behind the right side of the line."

Any truth to this statement? I haven't seen any talk of this around the forum, unless I missed it

Gandy last i checked is still listed as questionable, Ligon is probable.
You still somehow figure in Smith at center its still early.

Wouldnt say its lopsided yet, Could be a better match-ups against the LSU D-front.

Smith's good at center but he is better somewhere else. If Ligon or Parker can snap the ball and play well enough, then we need Smith holding down the line.

I agree Rob stays at LG , After watching the practice and after comments CPF has not wrote off Douglas to not playing at all but that Ligon just cant push off like he needs to.
I think Parker will do fine, Ill just sweat more when we are in the shot-gun. :cross:

Who handles the long snapping for the punts and field goals??

Am I the only one worried about the shifts on our offensive line going into the LSU game? Anyone else worried about a freshman taking over center duties amongst other shifts?

douglas is playing now. he practiced friday and will play monday, though he wont start. gandy is out. i think ligon might be playing as well. i think the starting lineup will be:

lt-young(worries me)
lg-smith
c-parker(think he will have a breakout game)
rg-sears
rt-toeiana

i think the coaches are trying to balance the line instead of having the two best on one side. they want our best two(sears and smith) on lsus best two(williams and wroten). i think we will run the ball a whole lot monday and occasionally throw a bomb. or at least i hope thats how we do it.

if they go this way it may be the plan to have the back help the left tackle on pass plays instead of play action fakes to throw.
