I didn't get to watch the Memphis game, but watched the highlights..

I had to hit mute because the commentating on the Vol network was so terrible. Is it just me or does their vocabulary grow smaller each game?

I'd rather listen to Bert Bertlekamp (sp?) any time than listen to Jimmy Dykes get a hard on talking about our coach going down in flames. To me, Kesling is tolerable. I'd prefer any of the Vol Network staff over the television.

I agree. I thought their anti-Tenn ad-lib was never going to end. I was thinking about calling my dentist and scheduling a root canal procedure.

Dykes has used so much hair dye that it has leaked into his brain.

I usually listen to the V-Network but thought I'd listen to the tv call. Vomit!

All these hair-dyed, grasping for youth announcers, do is visit and stare at each other with awe. No one really "calls" the game. They attend one practice before the game and they are experts on both teams. Zzzzzzzzzzzz

Bob & Bert may not be the best but they are more enjoyable and knowlegable re the VOLS than any ESPN/CBS/ABC dye-jobs.

Their hair was not that dark even when they were thirteen.

PSS: I know Kessling uses it but he is a VOL.

Bob might not be the best play-by-play guy in the world but he is one of the nicest people you could ever meet.

Boring Buckeye Bob may be a nice guy, but his football play-by-playis a disaster. He's actually a "homer" for the opposition! He doesn't keep listener informed about score, situation, down & distance, etc. Train wreck! He's not intolerable in basketball, but Bert bails him out.

I really don't believe I ever hear homerism for opponents from Bob. If you do we are hearing different things. JMO. I don't believe comparing him to John Ward is fair, but I don't think anyone compares to JW.

I know Bert is a huge homer but that's why I like him. He knows his basketball and listening to him is like having a fellow fan sitting next to you who cheers with you and can offer a lot of insight.

This is huge for someone who is the only Tennessee fan in the household
