Thank you for starting this thread. This list shows that the in-state talent is much deeper than it was a year ago, but Dooley still has his work cut out for him. 10 of the 22 players listed on the "1st Team" are from West Tennessee, mostly Memphis. The Vols' ties aren't near as strong in West Tennessee as they are in Middle and East. Dooley and Co. need to get on these guys now b/c if not Bama, Auburn, Ole Miss, and LSU will. Let's lock up some of this instate talent. Does anyone know how many of these guys will be at Junior Day??

Goff is a beast

Yesir, I agree. 6 ft 225 and 16. He had a good solid year last year as a junior(142 tackles, 28 tds). He WILL BE bigger, faster, stronger and smarter in 2010.I know he'll be at Vandys Jr Day and I believe he'll be in Knox for O+W game in April.

Impressive list but I'd definitely have Jake Overbey as the 1st-team QB. Johnson may be a better college prospect but Overbey, already a 2-time all-stater and Mr. Football award winner, is one of the best prep QBs in Tenn. football history.

Johnson's numbers last year in 12 games: 137-254 for 2,012 yards, 21 TDs & 8 INTs.

Overbey's numbers last year in 13 games: 180-302 for 2,846 yards, 44 TDs & 6 INTs...also rushed for 300+ yards to Johnson's 1 yard.

I'd never heard of Joe Townsend before but he looks like a mean guy w/ a good frame:

Christian Coleman is a beast. I hope we can get him. He was injured this past season, but was considered one of the top Juniors in the state.
