Hey guys if I remember correctly I thought I saw an app for VN a few years ago. I've searched and searched but can't find one...am I missing something? Just wondering if you all could show me where to get it or if there even was one

An app would probably make attaching pictures a little easier.

Plus it would have cool icon on the home screen.

I get that but he could always charge for VN if that was his goal. I know freak has really worked to get the mobile site working great. One of the best I visit. I'm just always curious what enhancements an app for a website provides. I've downloaded a couple and they never seem to provide any benefit

for the record nothing I post has anything to do with how freak views it or what he wants to do with VN. This question pops up every few months and I'm always curious

I have the same problem. I also have to sign in every single time I want to look at a picture. It won't let me stay signed in and navigate the site. After I make a post, it automatically goes to mobile and I can't get back to the PC homepage, which is better than mobile IMHO.

try tapping the VN banner at the top

if you're signed in to VN you shouldn't need anything to view pics

If you really prefer an app to access the VN forums, you could always go with Tapatalk or a similar forum application. If you are good with the mobile version (which is really, ridiculously good for mobile) but wouldn't mind an app just for the icon, if you are on Android (depending on your launcher/non-stock skin), you should be able to manually set a custom image for an icon. On Nova Launcher (shameless plug, awesome Android launcher), it's as simple as long-pressing your VN shortcut, edit, click on the image, then select whatever image you would prefer.

But seriously, I actually agree with you. There isn't much a dedicated app would bring to the table that the mobile site doesn't already offer.

The mobile site is definitely top notch, an app for the sake of having one seems redundant.

This, all I use is the mobile version. It's great. I have never had a problem with it. The only thing could be better, is if I could post multiple pics at one time for the girls of the week thread . jk. The only other site I've been to was cockytalk and it ain't got shii*** on volnation.

Sorry but mobile sites will ALWAYS be slower/inferior to an app. (Excluding of course a really bad app)

Of course the maintenance long term is a real commitment and additional costs so it is not something that should be taken on without a lot of thought.

This is not to say that the mobile version is not enough, only that an app does have it's advantages.

The mobile version is so good I don't really see a need for an app. I don't even get on here on my PC because the mobile version is so much better IMO.
