Do you really think this fixes our woes this season? I don't expect to see anything different until next year.

You guys do realize this is the same offense, even the same plays, we've run since I started watching in the early 80's?? It's still JM playbook with new players.

true dat... but... there seems to be something missing in the way the plays have been executed... its as if they have been designed for a types of players who no longer exist. you have these tall, light, fast defensive ends now who dont get pushed back at the line of scrimmage, they just run around the guards.... and so we run these draw plays, play action, and run up the middle, and a DE is already in the backfield. an OC should recognize those types of changes to the game as a whole and adjust.

I think Cut modified things a bit while Peyton was taking the snaps. But generally you are correct.

Just from listening to Cut on Volcalls it seems like he pays a little closer attention to detail than Sanders is capable of doing.

I want Washington and Jimmy Ray too. Randy sucks at more than just play calling...it's preparation, development, etc. He just freaking sux.

Maybe now he will wake up and pay attention. He is in a big time position, and he should act like it. This is a step in that direction.

No rejoicing from here. There will be nothing new in regards to our offense. Sanders was bogged down by the choke hold of Fulmer. Do I want Fulmer to leave? No, I want Fulmer to do his job as HC and allow the coordinators to do their job. Sanders does not deserve the harrassment and disrespect he has been given. His family does not deserve the torture they've been through. Fulmer, by micromanaging the offense has gotten us to this point and put Sanders in that position.

You guys may feel your testosterone rushes have been validated. I feel sorry for you in that regard, but all we've done today is to humiliate a man in public that has basically given his life to UT. I hope you guys take comfort in that. In the mean-time, we'll continue to run Fulmer's offense. congrats!!!

That, I agree with...Hopefully no more Pat Washington teaching receivers how to run bad routes, or Jimmy Ray Stephens mishandling the offensive line...Cut will be back next year, and for those that dont agree with that move should look at the fact that Charlie Weiss wanted hired Cut to help with ND's offense so that alone should speak volumes..If Cut doesnt come back next year then I say lets go after someone outside the program...

You are correct with regards to Fulmer micromanaging his offense, however, Sanders knew this when he accepted the job. He also knew the consequences that come with coaching period. Coaching is really no different than any other job. If something goes wrong, even if it not your fault, the mid-level supervisor and/or the CEO expects for you to fix the problem or hit the road. Plain and simple. That is just the nature of business. Business, never personal.
