and ask yourself one question. "Is this how I teach my kids to act when they don't get their way?" Whether you like the hire or not it is time to bite your lip and have some pride in this program. If Charlie Strong is hired then he deserves our full support. He could have easily stayed at Louisville and made just as much money and never had to worry about getting fired but instead he wants to be the head coach at the University of Tennessee. Charlie Strong is a stand up guy that hasn't played the University just to get a raise like others have undoubtedly done. We have a responsibility to do our part in making Tennessee great again. We can either choose to come together now or continue to rip this program apart. Make no mistake we have just as much to do with the future success or failure of this program as the new head coach does. Think about it

1. I think Charlie Strong would do fine here.
2. **** that. When Tennessee ****'s up, you should say that Tennessee ****ed up. Turning a blind eye towards failure is the best way to get where we are today.

Oh God... Shut up, this is a message board about the coaching for the Vols. If I'm upset about it, I'm in the right place to complain...

Already seeing UT fans saying they hope he fails so that the Strong supporters can eat crow

Makes no sense

Well that's absolutely ridiculous. I'll never hope UT plays bad. I personally feel Strong is a bad hire but I'm praying I'm wrong. I'll be the first to admit it here and everywhere else if that's the case. I'm all Vol baby, I want nothing but the best for them

How did Tennessee **** up? There is no perfect coaching candidate that has never lost a game and we have no idea what went on behind the scenes. Please tell me who the perfect choice would have been that you know 100% sure wanted the job.

Calling the Sheep are you? This fan base has a right to *****. Last top 25 finish 2007. I'm in but the proof is in the pudding. I'll ***** until I'm convinced Charlie can get it done.

Tennessee hasn't messed up. I'm saying that if Tennessee did/does mess up, nobody should hesitate to say it.

Please explain, with facts, where UT and Hart screwed up with getting Gruden.

OMG, if this is true we just fired a good coach for nothing. Mediocrity is our friend.

I will support the hire no matter what. Those expecting the home run type hire should have known better. We have never made a huge statement when it came to hiring coaches. If CS is hired, all we can do is get behind him and hope he can get us back to respectable.

Gruden ain't coming. It's over. Schools like us aren't big enough to make home run hires. We are garbage, and we are dang lucky to get Strong if you ask me.
