Anybody know why the Georgia loss is still the headline topic on the home page instead of the Vandy win, just wondering. I'm relatively new to vn. I may just have not noticed how long it takes before.

ummm they also didnt update the score of the bowl game either even though it stings to see the score.

Mandate from ESPN...cannot change headlines until approved by headquarters.

Welcome to the great VolNation. Some newby pointers.

Freak runs the board. He does a great job - so we put up with some of the update frequencies. If you don't believe it visit some of the other team's sites.

On that note - when you see TOS it means "The Other Site" (usually VolQuest) Please don't ask.

Post early and often, and don't wear your heart on your sleeve. Not everyone will agree with you, or even like you. Get over it and keep posting.

Other than that - come on in - the water's fine !

2. Trolls smell
3. Negavols are annoying
4. Negavols will ALWAYS have something bad to say
and...
5. The board will crash on NSD despite everyone's best efforts...Refrence the Gabe Wright announcement this year.

I'm new too but the one rule you forgot...EVERY topic thread will get hijacked and either turn into a Fulmer thread or (lately) why Pearl must go/stay thread! :)

Still entertaining reading though. Many posts actually make me laugh out loud.

Thanks! I hope Freak did not take it as criticism, I just did not notice how the home page usually looks. I could not help but throw in the ESPN hates though. I see that topic has come up a few times. (sometimes there is biased remarks though)

Freak is well suited for his role. He runs this place with class. Seriously this is the best fan site I have ever seen, and easily addictive.

We probably should have a newby section, but the best way is just to read. It's kind of like that song "I Love this Bar" by Toby Keith. We have quite a rogues gallery here in the Great VolNation.

The Fulmerites, the Kiffin haters, the Hammy apologists and "run him out of town on a rail" cadre. We have the Pearl lovers & haters as well, and the Dooley "I'm glad we've got him" crowd and the "how could we hire a La Tech castoff" bunch.

Some other tidbits:

Hatvol96's BB postgame reports are the stuff of legend, surpassed only by his debate style.

The "Official Make Fun of" threads in Football season are priceless.

Rod Wilks

The Squirrel. Just don't make him break out the helmet.

If Cody says it's going to happen. It won't.

Yeah, I have seen the Rod Wilks stuff, just not sure what brought it on. I thought I saw something about him saying something on facebook.
