VOLS 19th IN COACHES POLL

Not as bad a drop as I expected. Sounds about right at this point in the season.

Question: After Michigan State beats Notre Dame, do the Arsh drop out of the top 25?

Based on this poll, it looks like some great games coming up. The one outside the SEC I'm salivating to see is Louisville vs West Virginia if they both stay unbeaten. Talk about lighting up a scoreboard like a pinball machine, these two can do it.

You expected a worse drop after the number 5 team in the country had to come back a beat Tennessee by 1 point?

The Vols have played 2 ranked opponents.... blew out one and lost a lead to the other, losing by 1 point...... most of the teams in the top 25 have yet to even play a ranked opponent, much less 2. I think the AP having the Vols at about 15 is more like it.

Yes, I did. The polls are so fickle, I expected about 20th. You can give me all the reasons in the world why they shouldn't but take it to the bank..if the Vols lost by 1 point to the Pittsburgh Steelers, they'd drop them at least 5 places in the damn polls.
I don't get too excited or too upset anymore about where they're ranked right now. It's in late November that counts anyhow.

I still believe that the Vols are vastly under-rated. We should be thankful for this- b/c the fact is: we are still a very dangerous team, that can challenge virtually any other team in the nation right now.
