Vols 2007 recruiting ranked 23rd, Florida ranked 2nd by Rivals.com
UT has got 22 commitments, Florida has got 27 commitments for the 2007 season according to Rivals.

The recruiting classes for the SEC teams are ranked as follows:
Florida - 2nd
Georgia - 4th
LSU - 7th
Auburn - 10th
Alabama - 11th
Ole Miss - 16th
Tennessee - 23rd
South Carolina 24th
Arkansas - 26th
Kentucky - 36th
If recruiting is any indicator of success on the field, and obviously it is, we might as well get used to losing to Florida - and Georgia, and Alabama - and possibly even Vanderbilt if they keep improving.
It reminds me of the declining football talent for UT's football program during the latter portion of the Bill Battle era. Coach Battle was an honest person and a nice guy but he didn't, or for some reason couldn't, recruit enough good players.
I can remember someone saying that Coach Battle did not have enough support meaning I think that they may have not given Coach Battle enough of a recruiting budget.
An inadequate recruiting budget may have been the problem for Coach Battle but it's certainly not the problem with Fulmer's administration. UT's football program is awash in a sea of cash.
My only question is does Mike Hamilton have enough resolve to do what needs to be done - that is Fire Phillip Fulmer
