Vols #5 in defensive stop rate

I kinda wonder what we were ranked before the GA game. This does seem to go hand in hand with the scoring D success, holding teams to low scores. Hard to believe we lost to ARK with a defense like this. I'm starting to think we should possibly fix our offense, instead of leaving it to stagnate.

Man I never thought it would be that good. I guess we were just spoiled in 2022...
I assume our offensive rankings are heavily skewed by scoring a combined 182 offensive points in our 1st 3 games. Over our next 7 games we’ve only scored a combined 164 offensive points. Those first 3 games were fools gold and are distorting our averages. Going from averaging 61 points a game to only 24.

Also UGA had a horrible 3rd down rate on offense. On paper it looked bad for UGA. They just decided to show up for once. If they would have done that against OM a week earlier, UT wouldn’t have to worry about being in the playoffs… screwed UT twice.

We're atrocious in the red zone (110th in the nation), so we are not getting the points that our yardage would suggest we get. Add to that that our points average was bumped up a bit more than some other teams because of the UTC and Kent St scores, and the offense seems a long way indeed from 2022.

Doesn’t hurt that they stole our signals and new what pressures we were in.

I’m sure it was just some imaginary tell they picked up from watching film.
I haven't heard that one. Dline looked tired or something. Stayed with 4 down linemen most of the game. When they did blitz i will say they moved a guy toward the rusher pretty quick. They picked it up. I don't put anything past anyone. UGA to me outcoached UT. They saw a weak spot over the middle and exploited it. Combine that with little to no pressure on Beck and well, you get what you get. Wasn't one of Banks's better games.

That is heavily slanted because of our first 3 cupcake opponents. Where do we rank within the conference?
Yep, no doubt. I believe we are 10th out of 16 SEC teams in average scoring in conference games. I have no idea about the yardage, but I would guess that we are quite a bit better than that, as we have mainly had trouble translating yards into points.

One of their linemen admitted to sign stealing, he quickly changed his story to saying they noticed something on film that was giving away what out pressure was going to be on each play.

Tired? They play about 13 players on the DL. No reason to be tired
