Me too. I'd like to get bleedingTNorange's opinion on this, if you're reading it.

Well, we beat some teams we weren't supposed to beat last year and lost some by the same token. That's the beauty of basketball. Just trying to stay optimistic. :good!:

Saw this posted over on GVX. The field consists of Akron, UMass, NC State, Oklahoma State, Penn State, Providence and UNC Asheville. Very winnable field

Each of those potential opponents is beatable as long as we get solid guard play.

Bleeding's e-cred is now growing at an exponential rate.

I usually respect what he posts because he seems to follow the team closely (not too closely, like creepy-Sab close), but also because he doesn't say anything stupid or ridiculous just to get attention. I like his analysis of the players and the games. Seems to know his stuff.

UMass returns everything from an NIT-Final Four team, Providence brings in an elite recruiting class, Akron should be solid again, Oklahoma State is very beatable (although Lebryan Nash is very talented), and NC State will be a preseason Top 10 team. Tough tournament.

A quick look says this tournament sucks but when you look at the teams and what they have coming back, should be a nice early season test. NC State is for sure the team to beat but all these games are winnable.

Pull the double over the wolfpack. Hurry add them to the SEC and we will get a conference win for basketball and football.

I like the tourney. Not as stacked as the Maui field this past year when we were underdogs wvery game except chaminade.

Providence has a great incoming class and should be a good team.

Unassuming as someone else said returns everyone from a decent team so they won't be a pushover.

NC State hopefully is on the opposite side of the bracket from us, they'd be a great championship opportunity for us. They'll most likely be top 5-10 and have a very good team, an early win over them would be huge, but a loss isn't bad.

Nc state is a top 5-10 team next year, if we beat them soundly and win that tourney were gonna need a much bigger wagon IMO, that's an elite 8/ final 4 quality team.

I like our chances. NC State is the favorite. Gottfried has been a huge surprise.

Akron is going to be good next year. They were a basket away from making the NCAA tournament last year. They lost to OU who was a free throw away from being in the Elite 8..
