Oh the reason they struggled was just that they let Iowa back in because they stopped playing with purpose when they were up big. They took bad shots and turned it over some. Against a team like Illinois it would have cost them the game.
#7 Michigan State 6-0 16-3
#19 Wisconsin 5-2 15-4
Illinois 4-2 12-7
#25 Ohio State 4-3 14-5
#15 Purdue 3-3 15-3
Minnesota 3-3 12-6
Michigan 3-3 10-8
Indiana 2-3 8-9
Northwestern 2-4 13-5
Iowa 1-5 7-12
Penn State 0-5 8-9
Can Illinois, Minnesota or Michigan go on a huge tear and win enough to get to the tournament? Can Northwestern go to their first tournament? I think the answer is no and no.
I think that Wisconsin is incredibly disciplined and well coached. I think that Ohio State with Turner back is underrated at 25. I think Purdue snapped out of their funk and will be dangerous in the tournament and I think any of the three are still capable of finishing ahead of Michigan State in the league. I think those are the only 4 going to the tournament, and I think the SEC is a better league this year.
Ole Miss, Kentucky, Tennessee, Miss. State, Vanderbilt and...just kidding, and no one. It is super unlikely that the SEC gets a 6th team in. But UGA who is last right now in our standings, just beat Ga Tech and would murder most of the Big 10.
