Vols back to Number One Offense

I want Ohio State in the playoffs.

I want Hooker to go up against Bryce Young, Will Levis, Anthony Richardson, and C.J. Stroud...

outplay them all, win the Heisman, and get drafted in the first round. Hooker is getting the absolute shaft by the draft experts, but is playing better football than anyone.

Ball State, Akron, and Martin padded this half.
Doesn't matter. That was still the harder half of the schedule.

Consider this:

First half the schedule included one major challenge (Bama), three peer competitors (Pitt, Florida, LSU), and two cupcakes (Ball St, Akron).

Second half the schedule includes one major challenge (UGa), no peer competitors, two minor competitors (Ky and USCe), and three cupcakes (Mizzou, Vandy, UT-Martin).

So it's really a first half the season with three peer competitors against a second half the season with two minor competitors.

Kentucky and USCe are a much easier path to walk than Pitt, Florida, and LSU.

We're going to score points in buckets in most of the next five games. If anything, our average is going to go UP.

Go Vols!

Points scored, UT #1 with 50.1 PPG, a half point better than OSU, 7 better than Bama and 9 better than UGA.
Read into it whatever you desire, but here is the link:

Number one in points per game, AND yards per game!! While playing the best schedule of the unbeaten teams. Truly remarkable. Not going unnoticed in high school football recruiting circles.

Don't they still do heisman before playoffs?

No, I'm saying that I don't think we will average as many points per game in the second half of the season as we did in the first half. Seems obvious, really.

Outside of UGA, which team has the potential to slow this offense down?

Now if we play like we did at LSU where we go on an 8 minute drive to shorten the game then yeah. If way are in 1-2 score shoot out then I expect lots of points.

59, 63, 65 points against Ball State, Akron, and Martin. Who are the three teams we're lighting up for 60 in the second half? Vandy, ok. I'm not down on our offense, just stating obvious. We'll still have number one offense in the nation.
