This weekend Coach Pearl and Coach Summit hosted their first basketball clinic. I have been following Bruce Pearl for the last several years before he came to UT as well as all the great things Pat has done for women's basketball.
I really talked a lot with Coach Pearl and his staff. Bruce is very personal and not some egotistical arrogant coach. He comes across very positive and very open. His staff was great.
I stayed right by the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame. There was a social for the coaches there Friday night. Great place.
Candace Parker is a female stud. The Lady Vols should go far again. Pearl's team I see is very young. Might be hard to duplicate the success he had last year, but the younger players have to get it going. Bradshaw and Lofton are both solid.
The whole weekend was great minus all the rain on Friday.
I will catch the Vols on Nov 27 when they play ULL. Good luck this year!
