With what the Lady Vols have coming back next year, (no seniors) i think they have another shot at a NCAA title. With what the men have and the guys they have commited right now i think they can be really good. If they get Moses A and Shelby they could be really special for Vols Basketball

A question for more intelligent fans than I. I saw on tos that Chris Jones was committed to Tennessee but when you check the commit list he is not there. What gives?

Is UCONN dropping women's basketball? If not, UT has no chance of winning a national title next year.

Probably true. UCONN will be the favorite at least until Maya Moore graduates. 2012 is more realistic IMO.

UConn will lose two starters next year, including their best player, Tina Charles (better than Moore, IMO), and the Lady Vols will have their entire team back. Plus, UConn has a great team, but they've also hit on a two year dead spot in terms of other high profile programs dipping in talent. 2008 was a solid year for a lot of teams like LSU, Stanford and Tennessee with talent and upperclassmen with those teams getting hit hard by graduation.

Considering a lot of those programs are young now and returning players, next year will not be nearly the forgone conclusion for UConn that this year is. In fact, I would wager on the Lady Vols more than the Huskies.

Enough said. I've seen the Lady Vols with considerable less talent win the title. I saw the first NCAA championship game when the Lady Vols played USC and Cheryl Miller all the way through the present. The Lady Vols have that special thing in the title game. If they get there it could be interesting. I can think of two teams right off hand that weren't nearly as talented. The team that beat La Tech and the team that beat Georgia. I can't give you players names from those teams but, they were considered infurior and ended up winning in routes!! Go Lady Vols.
