Its your work, so you have the final vote, but I would say the 5+ yards is a good place to start.

Modified kick return metric to reflect kicks returned past the 40. In the case of Mike Matthews post-safety kick return, he fielded at the 20, and returned it 32 yards, all the way into Kent State Territory, but it wouldn't have qualified under my rules before.
