First, we need JP, Wayne, and Bobby to continue leading the way. MSU's best two players are Summers (6'4 shooting guard) and Morgan (6'8 PF). JP and Wayne as defenders will be huge. Bobby will be guarding their new PG, who is also stepping up as a leader. If we win, whether we get Butler or KSU, those match-ups are also favorable for the Vols. Neither team is particulary strong in the low post. I'd rather see Butler because like SDSU and OSU, their go-to guy is a 6'8 perimeter player and he's a sophomore. JP again. And Butler is very thin in the post. Chism time. I also prefer playing a team with less experience in the backcourt. KSU has plenty of that. But there interior is not where their punch is either. Finally, KSU's coach gives me nightmares -- very scary dude.

Second, we need WVU to beat KY tonight. Kentucky is the only team left in the Tournament that we match-up badly with. Baylor is probably next. If we could get into a Final Four with Butler, Duke and WVU, I believe we have as good a chance of winning it as anyone.

I hope our guys understand the challenge they have tomorrow. Tom Izzo is one of the all-time greats. Michigan State is a group of players rallying as a "team" much like the Vols because of their injuries. We are the better team, but I can certainly see them beating us. JP and Wayne have to bring it again. Tomorrow's game is the type that Hopson could really go off in because of his size against the MSU defense.

It's a good time to be a Vol.

Either MSU, Tennessee, Butler, or Kansas State will play for the title.

That's pretty amazing.

One more thing has to happen, Scotty has to start hitting those open threes, i noticed yesterday when he got it on the perimeter instead of taking an uncontested pull up jumper he passed it

I would love it if the final four was UT/Butler/WV/Duke. And I'd love to play Duke for a chance at a national title.

To many Needs. I would rather you say we can win it without all these needs. Forget the past. We can win it because we can. If we need to identify a bunch of intangibles and chest bumping or thumping to win a title then we need a head check.

The only thing we need to do is to win with heart, soul and determination and not look back.

We need to beat MSU first.

I know you are pumped, I am too but gimme a break.

I agree with this. If Hopson can find his shot, the seniors play the way they have been, and this team plays D like they have this team will be extremely difficult to beat.

Steven Pearl has a better chance of going off than Hopson, besides that, I agree with the rest. Duke would be a tough match up because of the size of Zubek, plus they are so methodical with the ball on offense. They execute the best out of the teams left in the field. Hoping for WVU if we can make it there.

It's gonna be butler, guys

That is a major bump in the road since it will be a home game for them if the Vols get that far. It will also be interesting since they are from the same league as Bruce... I wanted Kansas State because of location. Hopefully we get far enough for that to be a real concern.

Two 5 seeds stand in our way of playing for a national title. We matchup well with both and one is without their best player. We can do this.....the stars are aligning.

Butler isnt that good on traveling, I know it is in Indy but a lot of UT fans will be there.

The road just got easier playing Butler if we get by MSU.
Pearl knows the system (Played them twice in last 4 years)
If we get by Michigan State, I really like our chances

That crowd was firmly cheering for Butler. It will only get worse in Indy. The bandwagon fans are with Cinderella even though it was not by luck that Butler is there. I still have nightmares about the 2006-2007 game. Luckily we have a totally different team and style and we did beat them in the tournament the last time we played. It would be a good game if the Vols advance.

MSU is a great Basketball team. To beat them we have to use Williams and Chism alot and distribute the ball around. That is how we beat Ohio St. Getting MSU out of position will be key if we are going to win this game.

Damn Proud to be a Tennessee Vol.

P.S. Lets go WVU, kick Kentuckys ass!
