10-3 i think. We did not look good at the plate at all. Grisham looked good at shortstop in place of Lima.

eesh. Meant to go to the game today but got caught up at TRecs. Kind of glad I didn't.

I went to the game and that's the worst game I've ever seen TN play. 11 walks, 4 errors, only 7 hits against JMU's midweek pitching.....unbelievable. This is the worst TN hitting team I've seen in the last 5 years.

This Raleigh guy just keeps on benching players who made an impact last year. Gomes, Griffin, and Lima haven't done too well but you don't get out of a slump by sitting on the bench. These games against mid-conference teams are the games where players get out of slumps. Kentrail Davis didn't even play today at all, and he's one of our better players this year. I think we've had a different lineup for every game this year.

Hopefully the hitting will get better, I think it should. The lineup should be:

Simunic
Davis
Brown
Gomes
Lockwood
Griffin
Liles
Polk
Lima

i agree except i really like this grisham kid at short. i feel like lima is a liability in the field when at shortstop.

I actually know a kid on JMU's team. Based on past performances of their current players, I have no idea why the Dukes are picked so far down in the CAA. Of course, the CAA is actually a decent baseball conference. This team (UT) doesn't have much to work with right now, especially to play the style of ball Raleigh wants to play. Give the man time, he can't make them superstars overnight. As has been mentioned, Raleigh ball is a complete overhaul from Delmonico. It's going to take two recruiting classes before the Vols actually make serious noise.

Tough to go from beating #3 Texas one day to dropping 3 straight including a loss to JMU.
