I read someone in another thread saying TN would not get any players drafted after this year.

Others seem to think TN will get two drafted.

What do you predict?

2010 Mock Draft | NBADraft.net

I like the fact that Kentucky is supposed to have Cousins, and P Pat all drafted and that Kansas has Aldridge, Ole Miss has Price, MS State has Varnado and Sidney, Arkansas has Washington, LSU has Tasmin Mitchell and South Carolina has Archie (projected in the draft, hurt during the game they lost to Miami though that fact seemed to escape some of the geniuses on this board).

Wayne Chism has no one to blame but Wayne Chism if he is not drafted this year. He will have a national stage to play over and over against talented big men. Tyler Smith will have plenty of chances as well. I think their first national stage everyone is watching chance as seniors is coming tomorrow night against Purdue. I look for big things!

best link I have found to lots of mock drafts.

No one will know IMO whether Wayne is drafted until after the tourney and probably camps. Tyler will definitely be drafted but may go higher or lower depending on his performance against this marquee competition.

Wayne Chism will have lots of opportunities to impress scouts. Tyler will probably put up some decent numbers. I'd say they have decent shots at getting drafted. Depends on who else comes out too.

 Can anyone believe that there are mock drafts predicting JP to get drafted?

I seen one that had him going late in the 2nd round. Crazy. I can see Chism getting drafted. It would boost his stock if he handled the ball a little better (i know he has been working on that) but Tyler Smith will go pro. Scotty maybe as well.

I think Scotty needs another year. I would not surprised if he takes another. He looked awful last night and it was in part because there was NBA talent inside so when his outside shot was not falling and he took it inside, he was so tentative that he missed bunnies.

It went beyond his not making shots. He also made bad decisions. His decision to play one on four toward the end of the game could have cost us the game. He is nowhere near ready for the NBA and could very well be like Tyler and be a four year player.

Scotty needs another year. There are no NBA players on THIS year's roster. Tyler Smith is NOT an NBA player. No shot and not physical enough. Wayne just doesn't have the talent, either.

IMO, Chism has a better chance of making it in the NBA than Smith at this point. Smith is too small to play the 4 in the NBA and doesn't have the shot needed to play the 3.

Wayne Chism is a NBA player and will be drafted.

He has NBA ability. Unfortunately, he has trouble displaying that ability on a consistent basis. At this point, that is really hurting his draft stock. If he proves that he can bring it night-in-night-out this season then he will be in for a nice payday come draft time. If he continues to be inconsistent though he is not going to be drafted very high at all.

until Tyler shows he has a consistent jump shot... he's in the D-League.

Chism chances are slim... he's not tall enough to play power forward in the NBA... and there's no way he can play small forward. he's not a shot blocker, he's not an "energy player"... like birdman, dejuan blair, or tyrus thomas (who is 6-10 and jumps out of the gym). Chism chances would be better if he was a really physical, intimidating type player, a "beast" who fights on the boards and can possibly develop a good jump shot. he's a good D-1 player... but thats it.

Hopson... his reputation is that he has serious NBA potential. i haven't seen it yet.

BUT if someone thinks we have 3 NBA players on this team... well then anything short of a Final Four is a huge disappointment.

X2. Been a NBA fan for over 30 years and these guys are just not NBA talent.

Wayne Chism and Tyler Smith could both make a ton of money playing overseas. I think Smith gets drafted and could be a solid bench player in his NBA career.

Chism is 6'9. How tall do you think he needs to be to play PF in the NBA? He has the physical talents to play in the NBA. Size and ability is not what will hold him back in the NBA. The mental side of his game will hamper him.

I believe that asthma will also continue to hamper "wheezy"

I can't believe you refer to someone with a physical problem as "wheezy". That, alone, tells us all we need to know about you. Mr. Chism, at this point, looks to be our best bet to make the NBA. Tyler will get a chance, but will have to do a better job with an outside shot to make it.

Did you just start following TN basketball? You said in another thread you are not young. If you are an adult who claims to be a TN basketball fan and you did not know Chism's nickname I feel kind of bad making fun of you.

You want facts? Fact: everyone who cares enough to follow TN basketball at all closely is aware that Chism has asthma and that his nickname is wheezy. Bruce Pearl tried to cover up his asthma when Wayne was a freshman because he did not want opposing teams to know, but then it became common knowledge.

BasketvolsFan? Weezy is his nickname, it's not a shot at him. If you're a big Vol basketball fan, I'm not sure how you would not know this.

I do know it, but it is still inappropriate to refer to him in a negative way because of his physical problem. I probably have watched more TN basketball than you MHF and have followed them more closely for many years. You don't have the ability to make fun of me, but making fun of you is easy and becomes easier with each post you make.

All his teammates call him that. Its not negative.

I'm pretty sure his nickname is "Weezy" because his name starts with a W (see: Lil Wayne, who has the same nickname). I'm almost positive that it's NOT "wheezy" because of asthma...are you guys serious? People older than probably 25 will rightfully have no idea how "Weezy" comes from Wayne, but just trust me on this one...

Other examples: Chris "Breezy" = Chris Brown, "Kanyeezy" = Kanye West, Young Jeezy = Jay Jenkins, etc. It's not meant to poke fun at asthma...

The asthma definetely has something to do with it. A combination of both i'm sure. Not sure how he spells it though.
