Tennessee had to knock Longhorns out of the way to take a tough Texas step toward redemption.

Much-improved Georgia comes to Food City Center on Wednesday (8 o’clock, SEC Network). The Bulldogs have credentials. They defeated Kentucky by 13 and Oklahoma by 10. Get ready for a rumble.

"After that are also surprising Mississippi State (14-2), Auburn and Kentucky. That will be a time for official reevaluation. If SEC player of the year Johni Broome recovers from an ankle injury, Tennessee at Auburn will be a main event. If Broome is sidelined long term, all bets are off. He’s that strong." The SEC is loaded this year, good teams and good coaches.

First one to 13 SEC wins gets the prize
13-3 or 12-4 will be league champ

Reminder: Knoxville’s Blue Cain, 6-5, is a Georgia starting guard. He played 85 games in three prep seasons at Catholic High and finished at IMG Academy in Florida. Thanks Mr. West. The rest of the story and then some. Read this piece sports fans... westwords

I thought UGA was overrated based on the ooc schedule but the way they handled the last 2 games I’m not so sure. They might be a contender in the sec.
Nah, they’re just holding serve at home, which is expected of good teams. Now if they come in and beat us Wednesday then maybe but they lost at Ole Miss and win their 2 home games. UGA winning at home consistently over good teams would be an improvement for them though so they’re definitely a rising basketball program.

Blue Cain is questionable for the game after being so flagrantly trucked by a UK player last Tuesday. Very serious hit that has his season in real peril.

They beat us and they'll move closer to the top 10 and we may move out. We need this win.

I haven’t had a chance to watch them yet, but listening to Pancratz Sunday, they have a couple of active bigs that can get after the boards and put it back. Not the arsenal of bigs Florida is putting out there but still dangerous especially if they get favorable whistles and our bigs get in early foul trouble.

Silver lining is they don’t shoot the ball as well from deep and the game being in TBA.

They are one of those teams that can win even when having some ugly games. They shoot a lot of free throws and are super physical. They rebound well and block shots. They managed to completely stifle a uk team that has been one of the better offenses all year.

Could our team weirdly benefit from the Chaz's slump? Seems like we had to dig deep and get some more scoring options going and found them in the second half against Texas. Chaz making shots but not carrying so much of the scoring load is what we need moving forward.
