The University of Tennessee baseball team (6-6) was unable to hold on to a two-run lead in the bottom of the ninth, as Western Kentucky (9-3) rallied for a pair of runs to the tie the contest before scoring another in the 10th to earn a 5-4 victory Tuesday afternoon at Nick Denes Field in Bowling Green, Ky.

This is getting embarrassing. My coach at UT, would make us run at midnight for such an embarrassing loss. We weren't permitted to lose mid-week games, in fact, the thought never crossed our minds. Of course we lost every once in a blue moon, but never on a level like this.

Raleigh has never impressed me as a coach or a person. Our newly renovated stadium, and more importantly the fans, deserves a better product than is being put out.

From what I've read, Raleigh hasn't made a lot of friends over in the Athletic Department. Even some winners who don't make friends can get fired, much less Raleigh.

Raleigh lacks the professional experience needed to win at a school like UT. Delmonico was incredibly lucky. His ineptitude was astounding, yet he magically pulled a rabbit out of his Miami-centric hat from time to time.

What we need is an alum with professional experience who can turn this thing around. Local talent is at an all time high. All we need is a coach who can work with local scouting directors to make sure the talent we bring in is pro grade.

On the contrary, he's very well liked in the department. It'll be a very tough decision on that level, but it's not shaping up to be a very tough one on the field.

I guess he pulled out another one at last year's WBC then. Twice, actually.

Whatever his faults, Delmonico was the only UT baseball coach to do anything right in 50 years. He couldn't have been that inept, or if he was, what does that say about Tennessee's baseball program?

Let's say I might have a bit more insight into Coach D's lack of baseball depth. He won on talent alone. He was a phenomenal recruiter.

In regards to WBC, that is just baseball. Any given day, anybody can beat anybody. He had no hand in that aspect. I'm glad it went well for him and I hope it continues to open doors for his career.
