Vols' fans love Lofton...

Lofton had the "it" factor. He wanted the ball in his hands at the end of a game, and knew what to do with it (sorry Tyler Smith...). In this day and age, Eric Berry could throw his name into the mix. When we are needing a stop and someone to put a stop to the missed tackles, you can count on Berry to make a HUGE hit to stop an offensive threat in his tracks.
In terms of other people with "it", I'd have to throw in Luke Hochevar. He was a monster, with a 2.26 ERA through almost 140 innings.

Where in my post did I say anthing negative about Eric Berry? My point is Eric Berry is one of the top talents in college football and will be a high draft pick. Chris Lofton is unathletic and plays bad defense and does not deserve any comparison whatsoever with elite athletes. I don't care how "clutch" Lofton-Lovers say he is.

Eric Berry put us in games this year. South Carolina, Alabama, remember those plays he made? Lofton is better, but laughable? Come on man.

You guys are taking it the complete wrong way. I said Berry is in a far superior league than Chris Lofton in their respected sports. I'm no fan of Lofton. I think Berry is a hell of a player.

Either way you put it, these 2 guys are some of the best athletes in UT history. To say that comparing them is laughable is stupid. Think before you post next time.

Well, you see, when the subject of the question revolves around who is clutch, and we have a basketball player who defined clutch, then his name should be near the top of the list.
He may be unathletic.
He may be bad at defense.

But that isn't the topic up for discussion here. The topic at hand is his ability to perform in the clutch, which you yourself have alluded to in the bolded area.

Eric Berry is a natural. Chris Lofton had to work for his. Not taking up for Lofton by no means, but he did defeat cancer. But Eric Berry is in a separate league of his own.

Do you remember the shot he hit over Durant?
What about the shot against Winthrop in the NCAA tourney?
And just for fun I'll add in the shot against SC in the SEC tourney after beating cancer. But those don't count as clutch I guess.
