For the first 8 2/3 innings on Sunday, Kennesaw State kept Tennessee off the scoreboard. That wasn't long enough, however, as the Volunteers scored a pair of two-out runs in the bottom of the ninth and another in the 11th on a walk-off single by junior Blake Forsythe to finish off the weekend with a 3-2 win over the Owls at Lindsey Nelson Stadium in Knoxville.

This season has all the makings for a massive train wreck and chemical spill followed by secondary explosions, with horrible birth effects in the surrounding population for years to come.

Worst homestand ever. At least our guys pulled out a couple despite Raleigh's poor decisions. The 19-2 game even Mixmaster Todd couldn't screw up though.

I dont want to hear its the pitching..the pitching overall has been great so far..all of our studs including Blake, Cody H. cant hit their way out of a paper bag right now... I sure hope our bats wake up before South Carolina. But I still hold out hope for them, because when they click they will be awesome....

Baseball is an odd game. Hitting (or lack of hitting) sometimes has a way of being contagious. If this strong starting pitching continue, I think the hitting will come around. GBO

don't believe the pitching hype...keep in mind that pitching is almost always ahead of hitting and since some of these teams have been outside for 4-5 days of live hitting, that our pitching numbers may be artificially low. In fact, Atlanta has had worse weather than Knoxville the last month or so and Kennessaw State has no indoor facility comparable to Neyland -Thompson.

Without some major changes, I think we have only seen the tip of the iceberg.

We will see (those few that go) this week how the Toddster deals with adversity. I suspect many team members may need to stay away from moving buses.
