Vols Football Program

In there. Anybody could make a case for a mix of Tennessee Notre Dame, Michigan, Alabama, Ohio State, Nebraska, USC, Penn State, Oklahoma. Although I think it goes without debate that even given the last few years, Notre Dame is pretty much the greatest college football program of all time.

Florida, not really... They have been very good in the last 15-ish years, but all time? Texas is good, though.

Great link CC, I think tennessee has got to be in the top 5, but I don't know where they would fall because this is strictly an opinion.

I honestly don't know if I would put Tennssee in the top 5 or not, now that I think about it... Top 10, certainly, but top 5 is a stretch. But if Fulmer keeps that .800 record for a while longer, I could probably do it with little hesitation.

Probably not top 5, but top 5 I'm sure. Notre Dame, Ohio State, Michigan, Nebraska, and Oklahoma would be my top 5, Alabama, Texas, Tennessee, USC, and Penn State round out my top 10.

Just curious where they'd ranked, but what about Miami? Only been a big school for 25 years, but 5 national titles is pretty impressive in that span of time.

That list about says it all. Tennessee is #1 in all of our hearts but our overall wins positions us about where we consistently seem to rank. Hurts but is true. And to catch up in this crowd takes a long, long time because of their consistent performances.

Miami would probably be one of the best of the last quarter of the 20th century, but they have not been good enough to make that all-time list.

And I would put Alabama top 5.

Who cares? Just as long as we do well from season to season.

I mean, Bama may be better than us all-time, but we can still make fun of them now and that's what counts.

"All-Time" records are where Tradition and Respect come from.
