Anyone see the 11 year old girl playing varsity ball in FL and leading the nation in 3 pointers and scoring at 39 ppg on Sportscenter this morning??? She is 11 and just said she is going to UCONN.. She also beat Steph Curry in a 3 point contest! Just saying.

As we all know if a butterfly flaps its wings in Malaysia, then Bill Clinton lets a stinky fart. So, of course we are losing the recruiting edge. Good point OP.

She has plenty of time to think about heading for the frozen tundra of nowheresville.

This last class was really the only one where we lost the recruiting edge. The previous two classes were rated highly and is the reason we have 7 McDonald's All Americans on the team now. The fact that none of them has lived up to their ranking is not a recruiting failure it is a coaching and development failure. From here on in I say we'll see recruiting go way down because recruits are smart and they see the system Holly runs is not one that is consistent with success. Holly won in the past because the SEC was weak and non-conference opponents were well below what we played this season. Watch how long it takes her to get to the next 100 if we don't replace her.

Good recruiter or not, Coach Warlick isn't going anywhere. With the climate surrounding the athletic department and the perception brought on that required every coach to hold a forum, the last thing Hart wants to do is get egg on the University's face when no one comes calling to take her place. Besides, she's 7th in salary...in the SEC. She's cheap and she's holding the gasoline over the dumpster fire. She won't be replaced until the can is empty and we're looking up through the ashes.

She's barely 5'0" although that's what they list her as (but she's like 4'10"/11) I think so if she doesn't grow another 6 to 7 inches she'd probably end up fizzling out. Let's give her a little more time to develop please!

Hey VolFan2012, you said from here on in recruiting will be low, since we're at zero already does that mean we'll be in the minus territory?

I agree with Germantown, she'll be back (& we'll probably be worst than this year unless she gets kidnaped but who would pay any ransom ?).

If it were a minor sport you'd be right. Behind football, LV's are the school's most important and successful program. They shared that with the Pearl-era men's BB, but with him gone they went back into obscurity quickly. They're too important to the school to allow a repeat of the football fiasco. Just like in Vaudeville, it's time to...GET THE HOOK! On the Gong Show, they'd be ringing the crap out of that gong right now.

Given the age of this prospective recruit, and the rate of climate change, Storrs might be a tropical paradise by the time she's ready to sign a NLI.

Ok, on the serious side, I suppose what the OP is really saying is that programs other than the Lady Vols are capturing the hearts and minds of the next generation. This might be true today, but it equally might not be true a couple of years from now. Lots of time for the ship to be righted.

The reason we ended up with 0 is because she tried to recruit the top players and failed to get any of them. Were in on several top 50 players again and I hope she can get some of them, but if she doesn't she will have no choice but to drop down to lower rated players. Hope I am wrong that top rated players are ignoring us for other schools. It certainly happened in 2016 and fear sets in if it happens again. I figure if we don't sign anyone in April were in a tough situation again.

And top recruits would sign with Holly so she can teach them how not to play basketball?

In order to get top recruits, the Lady Vols must finish strong in the Post Season. Top recruits only want to attend schools with a winning program.
