Monday was the official weigh in for the 2014 Reese’s Senior Bowl, and Daniel McCullers led the “weigh,” — in both height and weight. . .

Hes huge. Too huge. If he dropped about 30-40 lbs he could be a real force. As he is now he just takes up a lot of space and can only stop anyone running directly at him.

I'm not bashing him, I'm thankful for his time here I'm just calling it like I see it.

I feel like he'd play best around 325-330, but I'm not sure he'll ever get there.

He'll get drafted on his size alone.

I think 340 will be great for him simply because he's already tall and doesn't really play with a lot of leverage. At 310 at his height will get pushed around easily.

He's not mean enough.

No real nasty streak--he plays way too high, and doesn't know how to maximize the use of his hands to dominate the OL...

Playing with leverage and using his hands can be taught--but just cannot coach a nasty streak. Seriously don't see him being drafted before the 4th or 5th round--and could really see him even being an undrafted free-agent.

He definitely has the potential, but just being big won't get it done in the NFL...he just isn't all that athletic...

Let the flaming begin....:salute:

From the early reports, Mike, you're right on the money. He's got the longest arms of anybody measured at this combine, but he's "slow and sluggish" with bad extra weight. I'm hoping the NFL $$$ motivates some nasty into him.

Can that be coached into him?

No, IMO. He can change his body. His leverage and overall technique can be coached, but you either have the switch that you can flip to go into beast mode or you don't. It can be frustrating to see someone that has the physical tools to be dominant but just doesn't do it.

UT's 2013 D went as McCullers went... just like Jones said. IIRC, it was the second worst scoring D in UT history.

he's never had to be because who's stupid enough to F with the guy who's 6'7" 350lb at 20 yrs old.

They need to put a shock collar on him and give the remote to the opposing QB.

Nothing that will kill him, just like Mastiff level shock.

If McCullers can get with a team like New England or Pittsburgh or Kansas City, he might turn out to be a good run stopper.
