Me too. While he was talking, I kept looking at the practice field thinking how small it looked and then some guy ran across the field and looked like an ant.

Agreed. I remember many, myself included, thinking that Sal would do a good job this year as well. Looking back it makes since as to why he didn't. But being a fan many of us fall prey in seeing what we want to see as opposed to what is really going on. I'll give Coach Jancek my support, but reserve judgement until I see something on the field worth bragging about.

I like his approach to things. Aggressive and fast. Superior speed at every position. I honestly believe that his approach and theory on defense coupled.with the strength & conditioning we will be an ok defence

I don't know why people are optimistic about the defense it CANNOT be worst then last year it can only go up...and I think you have a DC that will understand what he has to work with instead of forcing something down the players throat

Agreed. I saw so many posts last year before the season started saying UT wa going to be OK on defense. And we were world class awful. I agree we need to see JJ's product on the field with the players he has here at UT before we pass judgement.
