Hey everyone:
We need a little help here. If any of you watch Sportscenter you know
that they are doing a "50 States in 50 Days Tour" of the United
States.

Well, on their website you can vote for best venues and moments in
Tennessee History. You go to:

ESPN 50-50

I'm from West Tennessee and I've lost track of how many times I've voted for the VOLS in that poll. Only thing different is, I HAD to vote for my favorite actor, Morgan Freeman.

Hey Guys...Just a little update. The 1998 Championship Game is finally on top of Most Memorable Sports Moment.

Now...let's see if we can keep this up.

Well, now the only thing left is to get Reggie White past Hardaway. I don't understand that choice but it is Memphis. Reggie was one of the best ever on every level and Penny is an above-average player @ best. Oh well, at least the Grizzlies have fallen to 2nd on Favorite Pro team!

Looks like Reggie has been passed up by Steve Spurrier. Elvis isn't even in the lead anymore...now it's Sgt. Alvin York.

According to espn.com, they'll be making their stop in Tennessee on August 13th at the Elvis 5K road race.

When they'll be in each state...

Look where they'll be in Texas. Isn't that somethin'? :)

I voted for Morgan Freeman, too. What an actor.

Not to rehash the "ESPN Conspiracy Theory," but after reading that list, we got a little screwed on the event, don'tcha think? I mean, I would think that maybe being here for the home opener, documenting 100,000+ celebrating the return of tailgating, filming the Vol Navy floating in, the Vol Walk, the Strip on gameday. . . . just MIGHT be a little more interesting than an Elvis 5K in the miserable Memphis heat. Mississippi and Arkansas both got the shaft, too: that stupid county fair and a cardboard boat race??? Nice portrayal. (although Arkansas offers very little else). Then, of course, they have to find someone with half a set of teeth to interview.

All the while, NY has the Red Sox and Yankees game. And you wonder why the south gets a bad rap.
