Yeah they keep popping up on these lists in the top 5 even though they don't know who their QB will be. They were good last year, but at no point did they look like a playoff team.I don't understand Penn State where they are at.
They return 13 starters from last years Rose Bowl winning team. They return one of the best offensive lines in the country and added a couple of key pieces in the portal. Plus they have a five star QB ready to take over for Sean Clifford. Still don’t think they’re on the level of OSU/Michigan, but should be good nonethelessI don't understand Penn State where they are at.
Drew Allar will be the Penn State QB.Yeah they keep popping up on these lists in the top 5 even though they don't know who their QB will be. They were good last year, but at no point did they look like a playoff team.
Why would OSU be ahead of Michigan?
Bama is 4th because their Bama even though they return next to zero production and have new OC and DC's who have a mediocre track record.
Texas and Penn state are where they are because the SP+ is based on returning talent and incoming talent, along with statistical performance and schedule. Its not based on record or predicted record it's just a power ranking.I don't understand Texas at number 9. Sarkisian has not done a very good job in his tenure so far. Ah well, maybe this will be the year for them.
Penn State at #5 is a damn joke. They'll lose to both Ohio State and Michigan, who are the only two good teams they'll have on their entire schedule. They will not beat a single team of any consequence, just like every other year.Yeah they keep popping up on these lists in the top 5 even though they don't know who their QB will be. They were good last year, but at no point did they look like a playoff team.
