Last year I could watch the Vols (ladies and men) on Tv all the time, this year I can never see them. They are always on Full Court. I have dish network in Ga. Did the
SEC sell the fan out.

Tennessee wasn't nearly as attractive to ESPN once Pearl was gone. Most our games are sec network or CSS now.

No that's not the case at all. Gameplan (owned by ESPN) picks up whatever games weren't worthy for ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU coverage. When you are a .500 team in the SEC, they aren't interested in showing you on national TV unless it's a marquis game like UConn, Florida, UK, etc.

Last year we were a top 25 team so we got better coverage. That's just the world we live in.

Even when Tennessee wasn't pre season top 25 we were all over espn because of Pearl.

People can disagree, any yea there are other factors, but Pearl sold tickets an drew an audience on TV.

As I said there were years we weren't pre season top 25 but were all over espn.

And btw Uconn wasn't espn it was CBS.

Just win and all of the issues go away regardless of the personality of a head coach.

This is absolutely true and I was in no way hating on Martin he's doing what he's supposed to, coach.

Agree completely though, I'd expect more tv coverage next year from what we got this year.

This is true if you're winning. But I think UT got more than it's share of TV time when Pearl was here because he was such a polarizing guy. People either love him (vol fans) or hate him (seemingly everyone else, especially Illinois fans). I think Martin gets UT back to premiere status, but he's never going to get the network love guys like Pearl get.

and you know what people watch in when they hate you just to hopefully see you lose. so he really drew a lot of fans, this is what i was saying earlier in the thread and told i was wrong.

he brought people to the arena, and drew big tv crowds, whether or not everyone watching was fans or some were haters, they were watching, and thats all tv cares about.

For being the official sponsor, Dish sucks! Switch your provider IMO.

I have Dish and love it. For some reason, even though I didn't sign up for it, I'm getting Full Court free. I've watched the last couple of games on FC. Before I discovered I had FC, I was streaming the games on ESPN3 and routing to tv. Maybe it's because I live in Texas...I don't know.
