UT Orange Grand.jpg

UT ordered two of these UT orange baby grand pianos for a special half-time performance at a Lady Vols game honoring Coach Pat Summit a few years ago. The manufacturer wouldn't allow us to order only two for a special color, so we had to order four as a minimum order. We have two available. These would be the only two available in the world outside of UT.

These each have a player system installed, and yes, they play "Rocky Top"! We understand that an orange piano is not a preferred color for a piano for even Vol fans. For this reason, we are selling at our cost, which is $10,000. (Reg $24,000) This would be a perfect addition to someone's awesome UT man cave!

Interested?

We are actually in the market for a baby grand. Who made them, and what size?

$10k is about entry-level for baby grands, and that is without a player.
True! This is a 5'0" Kohler & Campbell. The piano itself normally sells for around $15,000 by itself without the player system. It like getting the piano at a great discount and getting the player system ($9,995) for free!

With the player, that's a pretty good price. We are negotiating on a new 5' Yamaha, though, and the player isn't that important to me. It would be a great piece for a Vol fan, but I think my wife has nixed the idea, as we had planned to put it in our hearth room. If my man cave had space, I'd buy it in a heart beat!

never realized how high the mark up for a baby grand was. Would love to know how to play the piano, one of those dreams I've never sought after, but I can't start with a $10k to make it happen!

If I win the lottery over the weekend, I might get back in touch with you though.

Ha, learning to play on a $10k baby grand would be like learning to drive a manual transmission on a Viper. Most of us learned on an inexpensive upright or electric keyboard.
