Just want to say the Vols have way exceeded my expectation this year, thought we would probably win 8 or 9 games at the most but could instead be the National Champions! We know one team ahead of us is gonna lose for sure in the Ohio St -Michigan game which brings me to this question.I hate Ohio St and Michigan both but I hope Ohio St beats Michigan so badly that they will be completely eliminated.Who do you hope wins this game?

I dont care who wins as long as we leap frog them. I believe a blowout of either team would 100% do that.

That being said I would rather beat OSU then Michigan, just because its been since 1996 (Bill Duff says hi).

Also UT has only played Ohio State 1 time EVER.......again Bill Duff sends his regards.

Neither OSU nor Michigan will remain in the Top 4 with a loss. They don’t have the strength of schedule to justify it.

Our main concerns right now are USC and TCU.

USC has a loss (to a ranked team) but they also have a big game against UCLA and potentially a Pac12 Championship. I think if they win out in a dominant fashion (and it will need to be dominant) they could potentially jump over us into the #4 spot. If that happens, and TCU wins out, we could be stuck at #5. We don’t necessarily need TCU to lose, but it will help. If the USC situation plays out as stated above, a TCU loss could save us.

But personally I think USC will have another loss. I think they will lose to UCLA. And TCU will probably have a loss as well. Though after beating Texas, their path to winning out is looking more feasible.

We are in a great spot to make the playoffs. I think it’s more likely that we do than don’t. Something unexpected would have to happen to keep us out.

There will always be debate over the last team in see NCAA basketball tournament. But when it's 12 a team playoff at least there won't be excuses. Rarely are there 12 teams who's fan bases are so delusional that they think the all deserve a shot at the national title. The sec will have four teams in most years and unless you have three losses your probably in..

USC could lose to ND too.

We need to take care of the last two games and forget what the committee is thinking. All opinions are the same to me,food for thought.Reality is we need to take care of the task at hand.

Our rooting interests in the next few weeks:
WE win big next two weeks and get/stay healthy
TCU loses either at Baylor or KState in BIG12 title game.
OSU beats Michigan big
USC loses to UCLA, ND or in PAC 12 title game.
(for good measure), UNC and Clemson lose another game.
UGA beat LSU
