Florida lost in a relatively close one...looked strong in many areas.

1) They fall to 6th

USC loses in a close one also...

2) They fall to 7th

Auburn, having beaten no. 2, leapfrogs UT.

3) We fall to 11th

Please God, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! :crossfingers:

Why would one team jumping us, push us down three spots?

in an off week, teams sometimes lose favor...I hope I'm wrong...how far do you see UF dropping?

I think Florida drops but stays in front of us, Auburn Climbs but stays behind us and USC wins another close game.

No way that Auburn only moves up 1-2 spots.

Tennessee was 8 and Auburn 11 in the AP.

Tennessee was 9 and Auburn 10 in the Coaches.

Tennessee was 8 and Auburn 10 in the Harris.

Tennessee will more than likely be 9th, 10th and 9th tomorrow.

Somewhere between 7-9 in the BCS, probably closer to 9th.

It seems this happens to us a lot............we're not in first in our division, but we're the top ranked team in the SEC.

I do. The pollsters want to reward Auburn for beating the #2 team so they jump them to say 7th. Even with the loss, the pollsters don't think it fair to drop a UF team that beat UT behind them and put them at 8th. We drop to 9th.

in a perfect poll, a bye-week team should have a lock on their position in the polls..neither here nor there, but something the voters should take into consideration is this: only one team in the country has played and defeated 2 top ten teams, and that is the University of Tennessee Volunteers. And as a footnote, we blew out both of them.

No way does Auburn leap us after last week's performance. If so, that's trash.

Auburn was only 3, 1, and 2 spots behind us in the polls. They just beat the number two team in the country.

If they DON'T move ahead of us, something is wrong.

I'd be willing to bet that the vote totals among Florida, Tennessee and Auburn will be razor thin. It's pretty clear that they are all pretty equal right now. I think Florida is 2 spots ahead of us, Auburn is right in front of us, and we jump Louisville.

I figure us to all be within 4 spots total of each other. It doesn't really matter, as the rest of the season will (obviously) play that out.

c'mon, we killed a georgia team that turned around and lost to vandy at home :mega_shok:

Vandy has been in a lot of close games this year that they could have easily won if things had went their way.....Vandy isn't a bad team....On any given day anyone in the SEC can lose, and yesterday and last weekend was UGA's day...Florida's day will come again soon, we hope

double-edged sword phenom: If Cal thumps USC, they will jump us in the rankings.

I think that Cal jumping us will become a reality because I think they are going to handle USC if USC plays anything like they have in the last few games, and at that point it would be hard to argue for anyone that there isnt a PAC 10 bias, when a one loss SEC team gets jumped by a one loss Pac-10 that it put a solid whopping on.
