Freshmen quarterbacks starting their first game only win in the movies...

Also I'm curious, and as an aside, how many posters on here use the expression 'bro' in the real world....yeah I'm old but I have a 31 year old daughter and I never heard her or any of her contemporaries use it...

You never say Bro. .? Brah

You are missing out tonight make it a priority to look at a friend and say cool story. Bro

On the game I think we win big

Coach B said we're not gonna leave any bullets in the gun. This team has gone out there to win.

Well Dang, who was in charge of loading the gun against O and Bama, must have sliped some blanks in there, lol. I just want to see all the posts on volnation tonight about how crazy CBJ is for not starting Dobs earlier. I think he will do great.

We really haven't proven we can beat a winning team on the road. We also are starting a freshmen QB. BUT still.......I can't shake this feeling that we are going to hit them dead square in the teeth. I am not talking about a last minute FG. I am feeling a multi-sac, multi turnover, 250+ yard rushing beatdown. Yep, I always think we have a chance, but this is a really strong feeling. I know, cool story bro.

I have a feeling about this game as well. Based on nothing other than my own gut... I feel like we win and it really won't even be that close of a game.

I am more of a negaVol than an orange kool aid drinker....but I usually keep it to myself so I don't get internet bullied. :)

That being said, I think we win today. Mizzou is reeling after last week. They got their hopes national championship high and got them dashed. Hard to pick up after that. Especially when you are overlooking the next team on the schedule as an automatic victory. Think we are gonna come out and play smash mouth football. Win by a touchdown.

Huge difference in playing two potential national championship contender teams like Alabama and Oregon.

And teams that have been hyped up that just aren't cutting the mustard like Florida, Georgia and USCjr.

And after today, hopefully we show the world Mizzou isn't worth the hype either. And remind folks

We are Tennessee

Upsets happen so hope lives. No one on set at ESPN Gameday gives us a chance. Herbie said if we were at home, he would be scared for Mizzou but not at home with so much at stake for them.

I wonder how many of the 71,000 seats at Mizzou will be filled with Vol fans tonight? Doesn't appear to me to be a hostile place to travel. We have played in louder environments against stronger opponents.

I don't worry about the talking heads on ESPN. They can eat crow after the game tonight.

They have a great defensive line (I watched their game against SCjr and they consistently put a lot of pressure with very few people rushing the QB). But I'm very excited to see what Dobbs can do - second half vs Bama is a reason to be at least cautiously optimistic. I am also worried about giving up big plays to their receivers who are very good (given how our defense always gives up huge plays on the road seemingly no matter who we play against it's hard to be optimistic that our secondary will win that battle).
