Reading on volquest that Brian Randolph left the game early in the first half with an apparent shoulder injury. His replacement Byron Moore was injured in the second half and was seen in street clothes and on crutches late in the game on the sidelines

Time for #34. Our safeties still take some of the worst angles that I have ever seen.

Well, he's needed at safety now.

Don't think it quite works that way. Could be wrong, maybe desperate times call for desperate measures in this case. Kid's talented, just think it would be difficult to put a true freshman, who's been repping OLB in practice all year, back at safety with 1 week of preparation vs a top 10 team. He may be our best option though.

Yep. Noticed this too. That was my fear from this game.

We won't get to a bowl if we're weak in the backfield. Offense is not yet strong enough to carry the team without a defense that hold our next four opponents from scoring on every drive.

Randolph finished the game. Unless his shoulder injury is really bad I'd expect him to play through the pain this week too

EDIT: Injury, not surgery

Gage Beeler # 29. I hear he is dominating in practice. Put him in coach. Who cares if hes a walk on.

Did you happen to see Jaron Toney take the wrong angle giving up that huge touchdown play that should've been stuffed for a gain for 3-5 yards tops? That's what happens when you have to resort to playing walk-ons. I saw Randolph come back and play during the second half, so I think he'll be starting next week. I don't who will back him up with Moore's injury though.

I wonder why Swafford isn't getting more PT since its obvious that Toney struggles against the better teams. Coleman should be our nickel next year, he is a much better tackler than Toney.
