Vols to play George Mason in NIT

The official word came down tonight that the Vols are headed to Fairfax, VA to play George Mason of the Colonial Athletic Association. George Mason lost their conference championship game by one point to Virginia Commonwealth. Tipoff will be 7pm on Wednesday.

It's never good when you have to play in the opening round just to make it to the first round.

What are the matchups? How do we stack against this team?

Well Volunteer, it's hard to tell since I don't know a lot about this team. What I do know is this:

They have a young team, starting 3 so's 1 jr and 1 sr. Their leading scorer is their Forward Jai Lewis who is only 6-7 but weighs 275. Sound like he could be a very physical player with his size. He averages 14.6 points and 7.6 rebounds. The only other starter who averages in double figures is G Lamar Butler who averages 10.8 points per game.

If you look at it statisticly they really look very similar to us. (this doesn't format well).
