and explore the Pacific Northwest:

Brad Glenn scheduled his wedding to coincide with Tennessee’s visit to Autzen Stadium on Saturday.

Todd Davis does not know if he is more excited for the game or for three days at Bandon Dunes.

For Adam Youngquist, a trip to Autzen adds to his “bucket list” of visiting college football stadiums.

And Lori Herwehe is fulfilling her dream of combining her beloved Vols with her devotion to Steve Prefontaine.

Yeah, a football game is bringing more than 5,000 University of Tennessee Volunteers fans to town this weekend, but most of those trips are an opportunity for much, much more.

There’s Oregon’s heralded wine country and craft beers, nationally known golf courses and such tourist attractions as Multnomah Falls and Crater Lake — all adding to the allure of heading West, for the first time for many Vols. It is a quick weekend trip for some, while others will stretch it out for more than a week.
