Ok, here is my idea. As many of us that are going to the games, and I'm sure finding a good place for the Volwalk, I think we should "Adopt" a Vol and make signs for them, yell our guts out for them when they walk by, do everything we can to make that player feel special as he comes down toward Neyland Stadium.
A few guidelines if anyone wants to do this....
1. Post the player you are going to adopt here so everyone knows they are covered.
2. Try to select someone that hasn't already been selected, unless you are family, or a close friend, and in that case, try to hook up with the other person and be near them so the player sees you all together.
3. Don't make big, huge signs that will block those behind you. Try not to hold them up if there are people behind you.
4. Don't give the players anything, we wouldn't want NCAA violations coming down.
That's pretty much it. Just Be Creative. Make T-shirts or signs, or whatever you can think of to support your player. Just think how those players would feel to see people individually supporting them.
I know we all need to pull for the TEAM, but I don't think it would hurt to select someone to show a little extra support for during the Vol Walk. Get your whole family involved, or a group of close friends. See if you can out-do each other with the signs and shirts.
What do ya think? Anyone interested, or is this just a bad idea?
