Honestly man, last night someone was talking about VT and I couldn't even remember who their coach was anymore. Had to Google it to find it was B Pye. They have really had a bad few years.

He just seems like a stop-gap coach until they can find someone decent. I know they wish Beamer would come home. On the bright side with teams like Cal and Stanford joining the conference next year, Virginia and Virginia Tech will have teams to compete with as far as cellar teams.

I’m kind of sorry. I always liked va, tech. Sort of an under dog. Poor coaching choices lately. Must be tough to recruit there. That means coaches must be top level.

Actually they have some talent rich areas to recruit but Fuentes considered it beneath him to go into the homes and recruit. Pry is an improvement in recruiting but he just doesn’t show much offensively.

I don't know much about "talent comes from here" but that was always the belief, if they could recruit tidewater virginia, which is one tiny tiny area, then they were okay. I think mostly Beamer is an outlier and they should not really try to compete in the "new world". Their boosters are not the kind of people to raise the price of football like we see elsewhere.

Now that it's legal to pay players, they are really really expensive. I just don't see Va Tech grads being willing to do what everybody else is doing.
