USCw and Notre Dame, always guaranteed at least one of them will be badly over-rated pre-season. This year was USCw's turn.

Why is USC #4? They're one of those programs who get the benefit of the doubt based on name alone, like ND and Texas

Because they finished the year as one of the best teams last year and they have one of the best QBs and RBs in college football.

Because they return a lot of talent, including a future overall number one pick at qb, from a team that was playing lights out at the end of the season.

People forget WMU returned 14 starters from last seasons cotton bowl team. I think a lot of people have been discounting them because they lost Fleck. However there's still a lot of talent on that roster.

If USC wins they still better drop 9-10 spots like we did after week 1 last year. Otherwise bias in the polls would be proven true.

I was hoping for the upset, but watching a top 5 team struggle to put away a MAC team will have to suffice I guess.
