I am a bit of a gambler and always check out wagerline before I place my bets. I like to check out the preview of each game because wagerline is usually pretty good about predicting the outcomes of games. Wagerline's prediction for the UA/UT game..."After a sluggish effort last week, expect an extremely strong showing by Alabama this weekend. The Tide are better than the Vols on both sides of the ball and will win this one by double figures...Sports Netword Predicted Outcome: Alabama 24, Tennessee 10" There's a lot more to the preview that stands behind their prediction, it's actually pretty insightful stuff. I suggest you check it out. RTR.

Put the house on it if you got the guts. We both know this is not your stone cold lock. If you think it is, you better handcuff your shirt to your back, cause your gonna lose it.

Whats the big deal? Wagerline says Bama will win by double digits, yet they only give the Vols 3.5.

Doesnt sound to me like they know what they are talking about since they wont cover their own predictions.

Well, if there are such people who place their bets based on their previews, then the "fool and their money..." philosophy comes into play.

If they would have had UT 14 point underdogs, I would have laid down some cash myself. But, since they wont put their money where their mouths are, forget it.

If UT was favored by more than three, that might be safe. I never wager on UT games. It takes all the fun out of it for me.

Grr. Betting on college games is stupid.

Look at Logan Young... he tried to hedge his bets.

But money talks and dumbasses listen.

It's just more fun to have a little money on some games. Say tomorrow night's game, UAB vs. Southern Miss. I'm friends with UAB's running back so I'll watch that game anyways, but if he didn't play for them then I wouldn't. But games like that and Vandy vs. South Carolina, Notre Dame vs. BYU, putting a little money on those kinds of games makes it 100 times more interesting and fun to watch. I don't put thousands of dollars on games, just a few bucks here and there to spice the games up. Now the Bama-UT game I don't need to bet on, that game will be interesting enough. Plus I don't ever bet on Bama, too much emotion in the games already. Also, Wagerline gets those odds from Vegas, they don't make them so their predictions aren't affiliated with the odds.

Apparently wagerline did not watch the rest of the "sluggish showings" UA has put up this year. Outside of FLA they have looked average at best.

I'm pretty sure wagerline has watched all of the Bama games, sluggish or not. Being a sports gambling website, my guess is they watch sports...Anyways, I'm sure they are basing their prediction somewhat on UT's struggles. Outside of....well....no, they just look average at best every game.

You are correct, UT has looked pretty average every game this year. Apparently you can only pick up on sarcasm when it is your own...My point was that Bama has looked very average against very weak competition and to write an article that basically gives an easy double digit win to Bama is absurd especially in a rivalry game that is almost always close even when one team is seemingly superior. Again, I will give the tide credit for a great showing in the Florida game, but having a hard time with the likes of MTSU, So Miss, and Ole Miss makes me wonder how anyone could be so sure of an Alabama victory.

For all practical purposes you can add Fla to list of average teams Bama has beaten. Of course UT didn't, but that was an emotional Fla team.

UT will have the best defense that Bama has played this year. I think UT saw the toughest D they will see last week, but you know, they make every D look pretty darn tough.
