Based on your link, the U.S. attorney is dead on correct and, as is so often the case, the Texas Legislature has its collective head up its collective ass. The author of the reply lacks the most basic understanding of the relationship between state and federal powers. His answer that the bill exempts searches done consistent with the Constitution does not have anything to do with the Supremacy Clause issue.

Even the US Supreme Court would readily back the feds on this nonsense.

Eh I've been dead set against the whole TSA search thing from the beginning as I believe it's stepping across the line on personal rights. However, gotta love the hyperbole train there from the Representative basically saying all the TSA agents are rapists...

I fly out of Houston Bush every week. I've been frisked exactly one time. Did not touch my junk either.

TSA can't win in this situation.

elect for a manual search and see how you're treated. My wife travels about 2 weeks every month and said the patdown she now receives is very uncomfortable. Gotta stop those 5'8" blonde pregnant terrorists I guess

I much prefer an old west style approach and let people with carry permits carry. See how many planes get hijacked then lol.

Huh? So what part of the constitution states that the Federal government has the power to do this?

I usually roll my eyes when someone talks about some gun happy guy whenever conceal and carry comes up in a debate, but I'm sorry I really don't want any shots fired while 30,000 in the air in a tube that depends on being air tight...

The Texas wildfires are not really that funny. Regardless of intent.
