Wow... just wow. That's all I can say. Have been waiting for the Vols to come to Charlotte all year...

What I learned tonight:

1. Tobias Harris was more impressive in person. (my first time seeing him play in person) ---- So why wasn't he in more?

2. Golden was god horrible. Everytime he tried moving the ball up the court it seemed like he turned it over. Goins seemed to be playing much better but I thought he spent a lot of time on the bench.

3. When Hopson is on.. he's on, but boy when he's off... he's off.

4. The rotation seemed dreadful. Too many guys going in and out.. never seemed to get it together all night.

5. I found out that I hate seeing the vols lose in Knoxville... but standing in the middle of thousands of screaming fans and watching them storm the court .. makes me really feel sick.

I think you're talking about Golden at guard....but yeah....he was AWFUL tonight....don't know why Goins didn't play more

You just never know with Scotty Hopson....never know

And about the rotation comment, I totally agree....Pearl and McBee REALLY need to be on the bench

it's a risk you [(well) agree to] take being a fan of the visiting team, just like say the UF fans in Neyland in 1998

I agree, I think Goins was needed more on the floor tonight with his Sr leadership

I know. i know... still sucks though. I do have to give the Charlotte fans some credit. They made it a loud environment. They were on their feet pretty much the last 6 minutes of the game. At one point you couldn't even hear the whistles blow (and I was on the first row).

Talked to several folks that saw Pearl at a pregame event and he said before the game that he was going to rotate frequently. But my gosh, every dead ball. Dude, an idiot knows this game is about rhythm, so how could Pearl not see that? Face it, he thought this would be an easy game, so he was determined to distribute minutes. When your coaching strategy reflects such blatant over confidence it's embarassing. Pearl owes his players an apology - this game was all on him. Strike 2 (Strike 1 was him lying) - one more embarrassment this year and he's out - and I hope Hamilton goes with him.

Unfortunately, Goins did not demonstrate much leadership tonight. No assists in 27 minutes is never acceptable from your starting point guard.

#4 has me puzzled as well. Sorry you had to bear witness tonight, hey, at least it was exciting.

He does it every single game regardless of who it is, look up the minutes for the games we played against nova and pitt and compare them to this, I doubt you will find any serious discrepancy. Next time try to be a little more informed before you go off on a tangent.

I stand by my point - if a guy is on the court 3 times for 5 minutes each, he stand a much better chance of getting in rhthym than 5 times for 3 minute. It still equals 15 minutes either way - but I'll bet you the productivity of the 3 times for 5 minutes is more productive every time. You simply cannot get any flow substituting as often as we did last night - no matter what the distribution. You must have majored in weightlifting I guess?
