If Syracuse wins and other games go certain ways, they could perhaps potentially make a bowl as a 5-7 team (I’m not able to look through APR rankings at the moment) and Wake falls to either the Camping Outdoor Bowl, or into the Music City/Belk/Pinstripe/Sun Bowl range.

Bye bye Wake’s Orange Bowl dreams.

Syracuse is held to only a FG on the first OT, Wake drives down to the 10, and then on 2nd and goal the Syracuse strips the ball from the Wake receiver in stride and runs it all the way back to the other end zone.

Syracuse ends a 5-7 season on a high note by bringing the ceiling crashing back down on a fellow conference member,

UVA has essentially clinched an Orange Bowl berth,

and at 8-4 Wake Forest falls possibly to the Belk/Pinstripe/Sun Bowl (if they’re lucky, maybe the Music City or Camping World Bowl).
