If Wake Forest finishes the season out undefeated and wins the ACC do you think they get into the playoff ?
Depends on what happens around them. If Bama wins out and gives UGA their only loss, the SEC gets 2 of the 4 spots. That's going to make it really tough. 1 loss tOSU gets in over them. Oregon might as well. And of course Cincinnati could steal a seed.

That’s why I’m saying to. Nobody is paying Wake Forest much attention and do I think they can beat Georgia , Ohio St or Bama? no I don’t but if they finish 13-0 and win the ACC which of course is a power 5 league then I just don’t think you can leave them out. This is why I wanted a 8 team playoff not a 12 but 8 would just about be perfect. Dave Clawson has done a hell of a job there.Undefeated P5 teams is gonna be tough to keep out for a group of 1 loss teams.

The NCAA has long made it known that they value historical success over current season record. Hopefully this will finally force an expanded playoff. My dream would be 8 teams - one from each P5 conference champion, the highest ranked G5 team, one at large P5 team, one at large G5 team. Spread the wealth and give these G5 teams a shot.
Only the Big 10 & SEC are pushing 12. They know their top teams will get byes and they’ll get 3 teams at least in each yr.
I’m pretty sure the Big 10 is pushing for 8, along with the ACC and Pac12.

I’m sure they want all 5 leagues to have a team that gets in. I personally think that is garbage, at least without some sort of stipulation saying that the league has to at least be ranked in the top 12 or 15 or something.I’m pretty sure the Big 10 is pushing for 8, along with the ACC and Pac12.

They value strength of schedule. Wake is having a nice season, and a great season by their standards, but who have they played? They are a top 10 team. Is there anybody in the rankings ahead of them who you think should be behind them? Some of those wins (Louisville, Syracuse, Army) have not exactly been impressive either. The NCAA has long made it known that they value historical success over current season record. No one besides Georgia, Bama, and OSU belong in the conversation.Cincy doesn't belong in the conversation.
I think Wake will lose 1 of the next 2 against either UNC or NC State. They value strength of schedule. Wake is having a nice season, and a great season by their standards, but who have they played? It's not their fault the ACC stinks, but you can't put a team in the playoff just because they are undefeated. This isn't the NFL where every win is created equal.
Not even Oregon? Who beat OSU. I mean Bama is tough but lost to a 2 loss A&M team. Michigan St is undefeated and may stay that way. Lots of football to play, should get interestingNo one besides Georgia, Bama, and OSU belong in the conversation.
There are very few elite teams, a good bit of great teams, oregon, ok, cinci, michigan st maybe, sec #3, wake maybe. None of the great teams are going to beat the elite teams in a playoff situation.
