I think Dylan asked me about this earlier. As I suspected, it's a dogfight. Wake is playing to remain a top 12 seed, Maryland is playing to maintain any chance (outside of winning the ACC tournament) of making the NCAAs.

like so many teams they are extremely inconsistent. They have a chance of getting beat every night. But they've also proven they can play with anyone if they are on. Wake is a team that scares me to death when I'll pick my bracket.

As bad as the field is beyond the top 5 or 6, they definitely have a shot with the right draw. I don't like the youth, however.

They are certainly one of those teams that can either get hot and make a run or pull a Kansas and lose to a B team.

I wouldn't be surprised to see only 5 seeds and above make the Sweet 16. After that though, things will probably get absolutely crazy. Like no 1 seeds in the Elite 8 or something.

don't know that they are "George Mason", but I wouldn't want Xavier, Creighton or Utah St in my bracket. I think VCU can surprise people if they win the CAA. Hoping that doesn't happen though.

Nobody in the basketball world remotely considers Xavier to be in the "sleeper" or the "small school you don't want to play" category. Making posts that have some basis in reality helps.
