Anybody else JACKED up about this movie? it took me a little while to warm up to the idea of Joaquin Phoenix (that's the evil dude from Gladiator to some of you geniuses on here) as Johnny Cash, just because I didn't think he could get the voice right.

but, after seeing the previews, I'm all about it. I Plan on seeing it Tonight, and I Never go see anything the first night it's out. And come on....Reese "the Honeybear" Witherspoon as June? Oh yeah.

Focus: Anyone else gonna see this movie? has anybody seen it early?

Eh... I'm not feelin' Joaquin as The Man in Black... I'll wait and catch the DVD or see it on TV.

Solid movie. The only thing I found wrong with it is that it seemed like they were conflicted as to whether they should sell Cash's image or actually try and paint him as a human being. They did a little of both but not enough of either one.

Good movie but a lot of the points in the movie won't be picked up unless you listen to Cash or know about his life

I agree. David Keith would have been a better choice. And hey! He's a Vol Fan too. :biggrin2:
