I don't think politics are much like sports. Sports fans generally find allegiance with the closest team. People support candidates that pledge to help them the most.

John Huntsman having the UFC as his second highest donor is a highlight among that list for me.

Gary Johnson needs a lot more money. And seeing Comcast Inc donate so much to Obama makes me sick.

Makes me sick too. If there's one thing that really gets me fired up everyday, it's my hatred of Comcast. It's so ****ty here in Atlanta. But I have no options.

Oh, just curious, but it appears that Romney's second highest donor is Credit Suisse Group. I wonder how much of a stink the usual suspects on the right would make if a Democratic candidate was getting donations from a foreign financial group?

Depends on what you mean by "help". I don't vote based on who is going to most directly (financially) benefit me.

I vote based on who is closest in philosophy to my view of what the government should do and how they should do it. Maybe that is "help" but I don't really see it that way.

I'm pretty sure I'm not alone.

I would imagine it is employees in the US based subs and this site is bundling by company. It isn't the foreign company that is giving the cash.

If Comcast's political donations resemble those of other large conglomerates, I would imagine that Comcast will donate just as much to the campaign of whomever wins the GOP nomination.

There are plenty of corporations that will donate to the campaigns of both general election candidates.

Yeah, megacorps hedging their bets shouldn't be a surprise to anyone.

Remember, Romney's day gig is Bain Capital, a giant venture capital group... More like "birds of a feather". I think. Must be a US owned subsidiary though.. Foreign donations are illegal.

Wasn't there a brief scandal in 2007 or 2008 when it was discovered that Hilary or Obama received donations from Chinese nationals?
