ESPN2 is showing the d-1AA playoffs and Ga Southern is playing. That flexbone triple option is a thing of beauty to watch.

Thanks GA. Just turned it on. I watched Tracy Hamm lead them to two NCs, and actually played highschool ball with Raymond Gross. He led them to two NCs as well. It is a thing of beauty.

...and it's the exact same offense today that Erk Russell was running almost 20 years ago. Still proves that a good option attack is the most difficult offense to stop.

He's very much alive and well and still lives in Statesboro.

Just as I talk about the option attack, Ga Southern completes their second TD pass. They've thrown it twice in the entire half and the GSU QB is now 2 for 2 for 95 yards and 2 TDs.

Vince Dooley owes that man more than he could ever pay him. The junkyard dogs won that 1980 NC game against the Domers.

Yeah - I just turned it back on and GSU has blown a 35-16 lead and is about to lose 50-35???? Just saw a graphic showing that there has been over 1100 yards of offense in this game.

I've been watching pretty much the whole fourth quarter. And you can block the option -- Get 8 guys in the box who all play downhill.

You can try that, but don't leave any seams otherwise the QB will make a read and they'll fly right by. The triple option is a thing of beauty when run correctly.
