War in Ukraine

My guess here is that as America tires of this war, the consequences of any conflict like this. Ukraine knows it must win back as much territory as it can before any cease fire agreement is discussed. That's is the train for the intense counteroffensive.

I think there will be movement towards discourse soon.

Hey Ras and Volgr, for those of us who aren't Russian stooges, what's the proper way to spin this as a Russian victory?

My non expert opinion.....

Ukraine throwing last large scale offensive now to push advances as far as they can ahead of ceasefire. Just feels like Europe and the US public is tiring of this war. And it's been established Russia is not the conventional tiger we once believed their military to be.

Ukraine doesn’t necessarily need to advance to the border. They need to make continuing the war as unpalatable for Russia as possible.

We're not close to this happening.

Let’s wait until confirmation on Kherson. I saw on Twitter that a Ukrainian advisor to Zelenskyy say there are still Russian units in the city and plan to fight it out but we’ll see.
1) It's not going to be great for any Russians who are when they know they're largely being abandoned.
2) It sounds like UA is cautiously advancing and won't fall into a trap.

Cottage paperweight industry.

And for decades I see Russian tank pulling contests with tractors becoming the national motorsport.

That's a shame. What's the end game then?
Who can say?

Russia isn't going to agree to a (long-term) cease fire unless their military can do no more.

Ukraine going to negotiate with a country that's been committing war crimes? Not unless it runs out of weapons.

So it will go on until one side gets an advantage. Or has been in stalemate for a long time, many months from now.

There's nothing worthwhile about protecting a corrupt money laundering operation while another corrupt money laundering operation makes a fortune off their weapons. Us tax dollars should be used on citizens or returned

Thank god the majority of Americans don't have this "me me me" attitude. "America First" policy is corrupt, short-sighted and obviously egocentric.

Supporting Ukraine is the right thing to do. Period.

Sending our tax dollars to Ukraine is supporting corruption both here and there. Putin's probably getting a share also.
